I have several recordings scheduled, let's say there's 10 series recordings......Of those, the big bang and tosh will fail randomly.....approximately half of the episodes record correctly.

The files still show up, but instead of being a TS file of 1,900,800 its a very small file of 1,234k.

I don't really know where to go with this, but I'd certainly like to figure it out. As I said, most recordings work perfectly.

Also, I'm running this on a core i3 machine win10, and the files are being written to freenas, similar powered setup.

Post the logs next time it happens, and let us know the name/time of the recording.

Typically, it seems like this sort of problem ends up being a signal quality one. What type of tuner are you using? And what is the source (over-the-air, cable clear QAM, analog, etc.)?

The default is for NextPVR to not record an episode that has already been recorded or has been recently deleted. However, this logic should mean that there is nothing to show for the skipped recording ... Is the 1,234k file a playable video file?

Technically I think the file plays, but it's so brief that it's a flash if anything.

Just to be sure ... Does the failed recording appear in the Ready and Whats New recording lists in the usual way?

I just started using NextPVR last week and I have experienced the same thing. The failed recording does appear in the Ready and Whats New recording lists. There is no indication of any problem until I go to play the recording. An error message pops up. Unfortunately, I do not have the error message available as I deleted the failed recordings prior to discovering this thread.

I am running Windows 10 with a Ceton Infinitv 6 tuner card. Everything is clean install and NextPVR & Kodi are the only software running on this PC.
