Good Day.

Since upgrading I noticed that the were no pending recordings showing despite many recurring recordings existing, all of which had worked perfectly in 3.7.7.

Initial upgrade did not work properly (updated via prompt in NPVR) so ended up trying several times (Forum posts suggested deleting NPVR folder and re-installing). Finally did uninstall via Control Panel, rebooted, installed 3.7.7 and that no longer showed the recurring recordings as pending. Did Control Panel uninstall again, reboot, and back to 3.8.3 then deleted all pre-existing recurring recordings.

I import EPG data via Schedules Direct. Live TV works. Direct record works. Quick record works and record one episode also works and all of these show in pending. But, if I select to record a show using recurring settings it does not turn red in guide nor does it show in pending recordings.

Despite searching the forum I cannot find anything similar. Hope you can help please? Thank you.

As per instructions, zipped log files attached.
System is Windows 10 Pro, 1607 - 14393.321

The last message in nrecord.log.1 is at ... 2016-10-14 02:51:02.437 ... and the log appears to be truncated. Did the computer reboot at 02:51 this morning?

What happens if you go into Settings --> Channels and click on Update EPG ... This should reload the EPG data and force a reschedule of recurring recordings. If you don't get the result that you expect, then repost logs after the manual Update EPG has ended.

Hi Graham,

Thanks for coming back.

This is another problem I've lived with - NPVR is now set to update guide automatically at 02.45. The SD guide always downloads and saves then starts scanning for DVB listings. Very often this manages to get through a few frequencies then BSOD with APC MISMATCH I think. Happens quite often when I've run manual updates too. Have put up with this as NPVR works so well in all other respects and links well with Kodi.

I have been manually updating the EPG as well as emptying then manually updating to test before posting, but nothing seemed to work.

As requested, have manually updated the guide which worked fully this time. Went into TV Guide and tried to series record NCIS, on soon, as a test. Does not show up in pending recordings, only those that I set this morning as one-offs show up.

I don't really know but it may mean that the database is broken. Do you get the same result if you view pending recordings in both TV Recordings addon plugin and in the built-in Recordings?

I suggest that you wait till somebody that knows something comes along.

It a near certainty that the BSOD is caused by a faulty driver. My suggestion would be ... Device Manager ... uninstall driver for tuner device (and delete driver) ... download driver again ...reinstall driver.

Hi.

Didn't have the plugins in use but now that I switched them on I get Unhanded Exception error windows from both with details and continue buttons. Have to kill NVPR with task manager.

Already been down the driver route and done as you suggest but it made no difference. Always crashes when scanning some of the later DVB frequencies and other times system will run for weeks without crashing while the EPG appears to be fully up to date throughout.

If it is the database then hopefully someone can instruct me how to delete and start afresh. Thanks for all your help so far.

Yep, try that patch.

Out of curiousity, what EPG source are you using?

Sorry, that patch has not fixed it. Still unable to see any pending recording for a season setting made after the patch was installed.

For information, all the single record programs I had set for last night have recorded perfectly.

I am using Schedules Direct to populate the EPG, same as I have for a long time now.

You could try deleting the database and creating a new one ...
1) Backup npvr.db3
2) Settings --> Channels ... Export Channels
3) Settings --> Recordings ... Export Recordings
5) Close NextPVR
6) Delete npvr.db3
6) Start NextPVR which should automatically create a new empty database
7) Settings ... import channels and recordings

And if it all goes Pete Tong, you can restore the npvr.db3 that you had before you started.

Supply your npvr.db3 file and I'll check it out for you.
