Partial EPG

Hi,

I've searched this forum for answer to my problem, found none.
I've got a partial EPG update problem. If I manually search for EPG, it will populate completely. But a few days after, EPG will be almost empty. Just 4-5 channels have it. If I do manual scan again, it will be complete again.

Can someone help me ?

I've got a partial EPG update problem.

You could try increasing the value of EPGScanSeconds in config.xml ... The default is 60 seconds and is the period that NextPVR listens on each frequency to find EPG data ... Try a value of 120 seconds.

Also make sure you have 'update DVB EPG during live TV' unticked on the Settings->Misc screen. This can cause gaps for some people.

OK, I'll have a try at EPGScanSeconds. For "update DVB EPG during live TV", I'm not watching TV within NPVR but trough Kodi. But I'll try it too...

Even though it says "during live TV", it really means "update DVB EPG whenever a tuner is in use" - so, the advice still applies even if you watching in Kodi or making recordings.

Ok, did set the EPGScanSeconds to 120, update DVB EPG during live TV was already unticked. Right now after a manual scan EPG is almost full. Will see in the next few days if it stays so...

Well, sadly I have to notice the fact that those fixes didn't work. :/ EPG is once again almost empty.

Can I check something else ?

Hi! What is special is that it's always the same channels that do get EPG. There must be something wrong with configuration right ?

was this ever fixed i have the exact issue. manual update works but the 2:30 am automatic only gets some epg channels. It must be a bug if more than one person has the same issue ?

Broadcast EPG is a complicated beast, with slight differences in most countries. Did you try the advice above about increasing EPGScanSeconds, and turning off 'update epg during live tv'?

If these steps aren't helping, I can help you guys work through it, but it's gonna be complicated...I'd need a copy of your npvr.db3, and I'd need you to use TSCapture (eval version) to capture a 1 minute full transport stream from each frequencies you have channels on, so I can try replicating it here.
