Win10 Creators Update

Any early users of this update finding any issues with the NextPVR universe?

I always get nervous with big time updates like the Anniversary Update.

I too am waiting on updating. Just because they put one out doesn't mean it's ready. They are Microsoft after all!

Testing:
Live TV Crashes.(Diagnosis Murder. 5.2)
Quick Recording (The View 9.1)
Unhandled exception canceling the quick recording (The View 9.1)

Check the service. It wasn't started at startup. Manually Started Service from Task manager.
Canceled view recording. No error.


Live TV, with service started. Sound only, no video. (The Doctors, 12.2)

Changed Decoders From Lav to MS DTV. Got error, only sound. (The Price is right 12.1)

Changed Mpeg2 decoder to Lav, Left MS DTV-DVD set, got picture for a few seconds then black screen and sound only (BlankMan 9.3)
Same for 20.2 Our Winning Season.

Change Decoders again Mpeg2 to MS DTV and H.264 to LAV (Rachael Ray 19.1) MS DTV error.

But Windows does seem to run better, faster a few improvements so far I noticed like VPN connect from taskbar instead of it being a link.

EDIT ADD: The quick recording of the View turned out ok.

FWIW NextPVR client has been working fine on the fast ring insider builds.

I haven't installed any decoders other than Lav on this box.

The version of the upgrade today is

Windows 10 Pro
Version 1703
Os Build 15063.13

Other than MSDTV the only issue I had was on reboot the NPVR service wasn't started. Same issue with MCEBuddy. Reboot and it loads fine.

Still a little unclear: Did you get MPEG2 and H.264 working correctly? What finally worked for you?

My issue was resolved by installing MPEG-2 app from the store from another post (I think Martin shared the link). But, no, the Creator update by itself did not resolve my MS DTV-DVD issue. It still remained until I installed.

I've got something weird going on. The Windows Media Player media handler preview is popping out of Explorer. If you change the size of the preview panel it gets bigger and it stays there until you click off the movie. Online the fix isto go to Windows Features and remove Media Player, restart and then reinstall. That works for a little while then it starts occurring again. Happened on all 3 computers.

Anyone else experiencing that?
