NextPVR not installing after Create Update

After Windows 10 did a Create update NextPVR would not start. In looking in the Apps list it had "Unavailable" next to it.
I un-installed it and then attempted to re-install and got this message

Unable to start service:System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot open NPVR
Recording Service service on computer '.'.--->
System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception:The specified service does not exist as an installed service

At the end of this was an "OK" which I clicked and the message window disappeared and a message appeared saying installation was completed.
NextPVR still did not start and against it in the Apps list there is still "Unavailable".

I am not sure if this is a Windows or a NextPVR problem.

Two log files are attached. One before I uninstalled and the second after re-installation.

As there were no replies to this I did the following which enabled me to install and start NextPVR.
I un-installed using Control Panel > Deleted desktop short cut> deleted NextPVR folder and contents (these had not been deleted by the un-install)
> deleted the previously downloaded NextPVR install (version 3_9_2_161119)> re-started the computer.
Downloaded NextPVR install (same version number)> ran the install> from terminal message it looked as though all went well but still got a Windows error message>
> clicked on OK for that>install completed screen.
Started NextPVR via created shortcut, and it started (slowly).
Windows then crashed twice when trying to run channel scan, with message "ran into a problem" and it re-started.
This was resolved by plugging tuner into a different USB port.
No idea what the original problem was.

Thank you for the update. I too had a Nextpvr crash the first time I ran it after the creator update but after two reboot it ran ok so I gave it no further thought.

I had a similar problem after installing the creator windows 10 update. I solved it by switching off fast boot. Apparently it was not saving NPVR data properly. So far its all working OK apart from it take a few mins more to boot up.

I had to set NPVR in services to "automatic (delayed start)" with 1st and 2nd failure set to restart the service under the recovery tab.

I'm not sure if that is necessary now but back when it came out mine failed to start and I changed it after several restart failures.
