I am working with the REST api in Emby. But sometimes for some reason I don't get any information back.
I just debugged and waited for some time.

When I do then a call to the webservice with a SID that I generated at startup. It doesn't work. If I generate a new sid. It's working again.
Does the SID expires at some time?

Are you using it on a LAN, or across the internet? They do expire after some period of time, but on a LAN it should automatically reactivate the SID if you attempt to use one after it has expired.

From memory, I think it's valid for 5 minutes from the last call. ie, it'll only become invalid if it's been more than 5 minutes since your made a call with that SID.

For most use cases it wouldn't make sense to connect Emby to NextPVR over the Internet, since you would be streaming the raw feed and then Emby would have to transcode it in near real time. I would be much wiser to connect to a remote Emby instance.

Yeah, that's true.
