NextPVR on Kodi 17.3 on FireTV unknown error.

Kodi 17.3 on fire tv not loading NextPVR "an unknown error has occurred". I did however, get the NextPVR to load on my pc that runs kodi 17.3. The same pc that has the NextPVR application on it. But for some reason I get uknown error on all the fire tvs. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I don't know - we don't do anything FireTV specific. It's probably a question for whoever maintains these FireTV builds of Kodi. The kodi.log might be able to tell them why it's not loading.

Two things come to mind to check,

- the default NextPVR IP on the FTV has to be changed to the IP of your NextPVR server. Safest bet is to ensure you are using a fixed IP for the server.
- make sure allow port 8866 through any firewall or antivirus network protection you have on the server.

Thank you this worked like a charm. I went into my router and made my PC (server) IP address static. Then I went to each Fire TV and opened Kod,i went into the NextPVR and clicked configure. There I entered the static IP address of my PC (server). It looks beautiful. I will surely be clicking that donate tab. its a beautiful interface. my son has already said he thinks its better than our old cable TV epg and DVR interfaces. I will now check out the ios app.
