I have been having this issue since upgrading to 4.0.4 (170820) where I have been finding that my PC is not going to sleep. If I attempt to shut down my computer, it tells be that NextPVR is currently recording.

I check the TV guide or the "whats new" recordings screen and see nothing currently recording, but, if I look at the device status it is red and lists (in this case) 4 recordings in progress. See attached screenshot. If I stop and restart the recording service, it comes right I think.

1 thing to note, I think that 2 of the recordings would have been watched while being recorded (Living Room and Planet Earth) and have since been deleted but the netball and the Story of Diana are still there.

Any help appreciated

This has happened again this morning. Computer saying it can't shutdown due to NPVR still running, no recordings actually being made but red tray icon and 2 recordings shown as under way from the night before. Both files still exist and have not been watched as yet.

I'm also having this problem.

it's not all the time just a random problem as I can tell

as you can see from screenshots below it says "wheeler dealers" is still recording and is using a tuner, in reality this program was set to record between 13:59 <> 15:03 so as of writing this post it has been using the tuner for over 2hours longer than it should have.

* I can confirm that the recording wheeler dealers is correct in length, it's saved and plays fine it just hasent released the tuner

* Trying to access a live channel from a different device running Kodi isn't possible as no tuner is available so it's definitely still using the tuner

Good to see it's not just me. FWIW, this has not happened for 2 days now so will keep an eye on it and post again should it return.

This has happened to me again this morning. When I got up I noticed that the PC was on at 6am (should be asleep at this time of day). Went to manually shutdown, Windows told me that a recording was in progress, checked tuner status from task bar, it told me it was recording, checked recordings listings, last recording finished about 2am, took a snapshot of logs, stopped the recording service, took another snapshot of logs, shutdown successful. This is not a huge deal for me, just would be good to get to the bottom of.

It's back again this morning. Last recording finished 01:25. At 06:00 the tray icon is red and saying 1 tuner is active, as a result Windows won't go to sleep and when I try to manually shut down Windows tells me "NextPVR is currently recording". Stop the recording service, start the recording service, Windows happily shuts down.

Do you recall which one was showing on the Tray as not closed? I noticed that there is no indication in NRecord.log when back to back recordings on tuner 21 were made

2017-09-09 20:43:00.114 [DEBUG][10] About to start recording (12411 on 21): F:\PVR\Recordings\NPVR\To Hell and Back\To Hell and Back_20170909_20452245.ts...

that StopStream(1) was called and PostPRocessing.bat log messages aren't logged before the next recording started

2017-09-09 22:45:00.173 [DEBUG][10] About to start recording (12413 on 21): F:\PVR\Recordings\NPVR\42\42_20170909_22450115.ts...

Edit I checked your other posts and all the files that show as still running are missing StopStream() log messages.

Thanks for having a look Martin. Sorry I don't recall what was still recording this time. It may have been "to Hell And Back" but not 100% sure. I'll check next time it happens and take more notice of what it's saying.
