I just switched over to NPVR from Mythtv. The mythtv kodi add-on was pretty good. The one for npvr is pretty good too but when I stream while recording it always drops out when I get to the point where the recording was when I started. Is there any way around this problem?

Known issue with http streaming. The xnewa add-on can play from a share that can avoid this problem if you don't get to close to the end of file.

Thanks for the reply. Any instructions on how to do that?

I never figured out a fix for this so I'd be interested too, I used NextPVR with TVMC for a really long time and the recordings were always seriously flakey.

I don't suppose you have a link to the repo for the NPVR addon? I couldn't find it recently and wanted to try it out with the latest Kodi build to see what recording was like.

I actually figured out how to configure x-newa so that it doesn't just stop playback. it plays past the point where it used to stop playback but now when I skip ahead and it's past the original end time, it takes me back to the original end time of the recording.

I hope that made sense. I'm just a little unsure of how x-newa is supposed to behave on playback when still recording.

I am not sure how current version of Kodi handles skipping in files that are growing. It should work the same as playing from the video library.

I'm running kodi on an android box connected to my tv. I tested it out with a spare windows laptop this evening and it works like you described it. It must be an android-specific thing.
