Hi Martin,
I have just set up X-Newa (2.5.2) on a new Libreelec box (8.2.0) and I'm confused about a few things, despite reading a lot of different posts. I wonder if you can clarify a few things?
1) Live TV will only work in Timeshift mode. Is this normal behaviour for a Libreelec or Linux client?
With the default streaming mode of native, attempting to watch live TV just results in the 'please wait' animation for about three seconds. Native does work on a Windows 10 client I have though.
2) There are quite a few streaming modes, ie Native, VLC, Direct etc... please could you explain why someone might choose each one and whether any of them have any special requirements or additional config to be done?
Are some of these experimental or otherwise to be avoided?
3) What is the effect of changing the server API?
4) Path Substitutions - I gathered that having a path substitution in place for my server's recordings folder would help playaback of recordings to work better, and adding one seems to have made resume points work.
Are there other scenarios where we need path substitutions? I have put one in place for my server's temp folder, but I'm not sure if I need that or not?
