Hi I have some small problem that I would like to solve.
I use NextPVR only with IPTV channel list.
In NextPVR Windows interface the channel change takes about 1 second.
If in the same network i use the web interface the streaming startup requires 7/8 seconds.
If I use the iOS app (on iPhone 7Plus) the streaming startup requires 30/40 seconds.
Is there something I can do to solve it?
I would like to buy an apple TV to use the iOS client mainly, but 30/40 seconds are too much so I prefer wait to buy it.
I also noticed these two things:
1- in the ios client, the progress bar does not show the time when playing recordings.
2- Play / pause button is not available in the ios client while playing live channels; this inhibits the ability to take advantage of the time shift.
thanks in advance
Roberto.

I consider that the problem is not about network setting or computing power of the server, because I have installed Kodi and NextPVR Add-on on 2 android Box and in this case the channel change takes about 1 second as on server.

Can you see if updating to this version of NShared.dll helps?

To set expectations appropriately though, to start a channel on an iOS device should take about 8 seconds. It definitely shouldn't be 30-40 seconds. I'm pretty sure I know why that is happening, and the attached patch should fix it (basically you have a API call failing, and it take 30 seconds to timeout).

Yes! It work! (6/7 seconds)
Thank you thery much for your support!
Today I will compensate you for the time you have devoted me.

P.S.
For these two points is there or will there be a solution?
1- in the ios client, the progress bar does not show the time when playing recordings.
2- Play / pause button is not available in the ios client while playing live channels.
thanks in advance
Roberto.

Great!

It should do, I'll double check today.

Quote:2- Play / pause button is not available in the ios client while playing live channels.
Yeah, it doesn't currently in Live TV. This is on my list to revisit.
