Videos - Eliminate Menu Delays due to Slow USB Disk Drives

On my videos menu I have 9 video sources defined, some on local hard drive, some on network hard drives and some on local USB hard drives. Because I use USB3 hard drives this menu loads slowly as the hard drives usually have to spin up before the menu is displayed.

Can this delay be eliminated in some manner perhaps by caching the key information, e.g. folder.jpg, etc. at NextPVR startup? Perhaps I should be able to specify in the config that a particular video source should be cached because its slow?

I frequently use the videos menu and there is usually a significant delay before it is displayed whenever I need to switch between video sources, even if I am not using the USB3 disk drive.

Perhaps check your windows power settings in order to prevent them from spinning down whilst windows is running?

Thanks, I'm aware of this type of workaround but keeping these rarely used storage drives continuously spinning strikes me as an inefficient solution.

Add a symbolic link off a sub sub folder of another drive and only activate them on demand.
