OK,

I'm a patient man, but I've reached my end.....help!! Please!!! Smile

I can't get anything to record. Nothing.....all was well with the old version....now all I get are zero byte files. (see my other post)

This is killing me......I can usually figure these things out.

Pllleeeaaasseee heeelppp! There is something I really want to record.

Thanks!!

Roll back to old version, unless there was something you need in new that was more imortant.

Not that someone can't help, but do what does help first.

peetem, send your log files from c:\program fiels\devnz\gbpvr to me at support@devnz.com and I'll see if I can see anything.

A zero byte file usually means it failed all the filters required to make the capture graph. Filters are sort of like sub-components of the device drivers for your capture card, and GB-PVR has to string together or series of the them to be able to perform a recording. If one of these is not found, or cant be connected for some reason, then you often end up with a zero byte file.

It crashed.....

When I tired it again, it only gets to channel 3 and then crashes.

Now I get the "error: Object reference not set the the instance of an object" message.

This is crazy.....could someone just post an older version....I just updated today, so any version prior to .11 would prolly work. :-)

Thanks,

Pat

sub: is there a reason you don't keep an archieved install dir? It's not like you have a build I know of that was giving off a lethal dose of radiation or ate all your cookies or something.

Or do you just see old builds like ex-girlfirends Big Grin

Thats pretty much it. As far as I'm concerned, old versions are gone, and I dont want to provide any encouragement for people to stick with them. Sorry, but its hard enough answering questions about a single version.

I understand, but old versions are winners for those people who are having problem w/ new ones. Besides, people have old ones, and you generally don't get old support questions more than one version back now.

I'll still agree w/ you if you don't, but you could always add the "use these and you're dead to me" fair warning.

Nah, I'm going to continue to delete the old version. If people are using old versions, they'll continue to ask questions about them (often not mentioning they using the old versions).

Peeteme, I got your logs. What type of capture device do you have? It looks like you've got a PVR250 but have it configured as a PVR150 capture source. Check the card type you selected.
