Using the new IPTV features (very nice), I can view shows, and record shows works well. Sometimes the NextPvr service shows the recording continuing after the scheduled completion time and won’t allow deletion of the recorded file.
I use Comskip and after the recording has finished; I have no issue with tuner cards recording, just does not remove commercials from IPTV recordings.
My concern is we have a service which gives you 5 ip’s and if the recording gets stuck, we may run out of ip’s and get booted.
Attached are the logs,
only other question is can Schedules direct provide the EPG for both tuner and IPTV?

The problem occurred around 9 AM today. I was able to delete the file this time by turning off ComSkip before recording.

Thanks

What was the recording called, can what time was it supposed to start/stop?

In theory yes, if you can find a lineup (or multiple lineups), that have your IPTV channels. There is nothing NextPVR can do automatically here there - so you'd be manually mapping the channels yourself.

Yes it started at 759 and ended at 831.

It looks like it definitely stopped at 8:31. Was the file still growing?

No the file had ended and played OK. Plus the previous file played and ended normally. Started at the same time. Issue is it is showing active in the NextPvr recording service until I reboot and sometimes will not let you delete the file.

Also occurs when you click a link and it fails to play. The channel never comes back, but NextPVR recording service thinks it is active, and stays active until you restart the service or boot the machine.. We only get 5 things at a time, so concerned this could get us knocked off.

Otherwise, tuner industry is going to take a hit. You guys did a great implementation, keeps getting better!

I've been trying to reproduce this, but I'm not seeing this here.

Can you see if this updated NShared.dll makes any difference?

Installed the New DLL, it is still hanging. Today recorded 3 shows, 1 one the three worked OK, and was cleared in the NextPVR Service. The other two are stuck, and are still active. The file is not growing. Two of the recording were started at 4:59 AM on April 9th.

Interesting problem. Attached are the logs.

All the files seem to play OK. Problem might be ComSkip is called before Nextpvr closes the IPTV connection. Just a guess. ComSkp is very slow on IPTV recordings and fails to remove anything. Do you know of anyway to restrict Comskip to Tuner channels only?

Thanks

Your nrecord.log has ...

Quote:2018-04-08 22:00:00.159 [DEBUG][9] About to start recording (38043 on 35): C:\NPVR_recordings\Deception\Deception.S01E05.Masking.ts...

The NextPVR wiki has ...

Quote:PostProcessing.bat ... Arguments: ... capture Oid - unique identifier to the device used for recording

at ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...BatchFiles

The capture OID in the nrecord data above is "35" ... you could begin the batch file with a sequence of statements along the lines of ... if %4 equ 35 goto comskip ... with one if statement for each real tuner and an exit statement after the last if statement.

You can find the OID values by examining the the "something_Recorder" tables in the database or by examining the nrecord log files to see the values.

Plus ... if you wait ... someone might come along with a more elegant proposal.

Perhaps you are still running the free version of comskip. Upgrading to the donator version will give much faster h264 video processing and you support the author too.

Thanks for the info. I put new logs out with minimal information. Seems it hangs 2 out of 3 of the recordings.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Logs are attached.
Recorded 3 shows from 1030 to 1100. Two are hung, the other one disconnected from IPTV normally.

Thanks again!

I do have the donor version of Comskip. May have to investigate the H-264 setup.
