I've been using NPVR for ages and normally use EPG Collector to create a XMLTV file to populate the EPG.
When the DVB option was introduced in NPVR some time ago I thought I'd use that instead of running EPG Collector daily.

What I find is that most of my channels populate correctly with 7 day's of data.
But there are always 2 or 3 channels - TV1, TV3, Duke. that have some data missing towards the end of the week.
BTW I'm in New Zealand and only have about 9 channels tuned.

Would you recommend that I just revert back to using EPG Collector (xmltv)? or this there something wrong with my NPVR configuration?

Please find all clean logs attached. And let me know if you need any more info.
This problem has been bugging me for ages.
Thanks for your help.

On the 'Advanced DVB/ATSC EPG Settings' screen, you could try bumping up the number of minutes per frequency to see if it helps.

I thought I had already replied again yesterday but it didn't show up, so here goes.

I bumped the scan time up to 2 mins. per frequency then went for a walk around the block.
And Oh Yea I finally had 7 days of complete data in my EPG.

Thank you Sub for showing me what was right in front of my the whole time.

Great!

You can probably also disable all the frequencies other than one, and still get the same results, but quicker.

Thanks Rikiwi and Sub, I have had the same problem every so often so not just a one off.

Usually I have caught the problem when a program should be recording, and I activate a quick one off recording on the +1 channels.
It is interesting that I haven't seen any of the +1 channels miss the EPG data, but I couldn't work out why. Maybe they get populated earlier than the others?

My setup now is scanning 594000 and 530000 for 240 seconds (my OTA data comes from Wharite but I set up my 3 tuners to scan All Regions)
As soon as i try scanning for shorted periods I get missing data.

I tend not to use the +1 channels and if I do happen to miss something, there's always TV OnDemand. Smile

Now If I can just get all the correct artwork showing up I'd be a really happy man.
e.g. For the programme - Q+A I get info for some American legal show.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me to the correct forum dealing with this.

At the end of the day, there is only so much we can do about artwork - we only have the show name to go on, and searching for artwork by show name works pretty well for US/UK shows, but it's a bit hit or miss beyond that.

The ones (artwork) that annoy me are the US movies that automagically pickup some obscure Japanese poster.... I suspect because the movie name doesn't also have the year at the end of it that seems to be the common way they do it in the US
