I've just tried to reinstall Next PVR after a while running TV Mosaic, and I can't get my Kodi to connect to Next PVR.

It's on the same PC and I've tried both 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.2 (My PC's IP) - neither work.

Windows Firewall says that the port isn't restricted.

I can watch TV direct from Next PVR, but if I try to connect in Kodi I get:

And then a load more of the last error (for every other channel I have setup).

I've tried Telnet 192.168.1.2 8866 and get the blinking cursor. But Kodi just won't connect to the server.

Any ideas on what could be going on here?

Interestingly, I only just reinstalled NextPVR (I had it installed around a year ago) after having similar issues I believe a year ago. When I reinstalled it, a load of the old settings were already populated. Is there a way to do a completely clean install perhaps? Is there any other trouble shooting that I could do?

I've also noticed that NPVR Tray only appears if I open it now - I thought this used to autostart?

Can you open http://192.168.1.2:8866 in your browser? If not, post the NextPVR logs.

You can uninstall, delete the c:\users\public\npvr directory, then reinstall.

The address works in a web browser, but Kodi still can't connect.

I did try a completely new install too, but still not working.

I thought I had replied to this twice, but it keeps not appearing?

I could access it through the browser fine.

I also tried a clean install by deleting that directory and tried Kodi from my phone as well as Kodi from the same PC as the server. None worked Sad

Please post the NextPVR logs and the Kodi debug log telling us the time that you attempted to connect using Kodi so that we know where to look in the logs ... NextPVR Settings --> About, click the button to zip the logs ... https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced

It's because your posts had a url in them (albeit just because you'd quoted my reply). If a brand new user, with only a few posts or less makes a post with a url in it, vbulletin assumes it's some sort of spam and doesn't show the post until a moderator explicitly allows it.

I'm having a similar issue. Everything worked fine with Kodi 17.6, on Windows 10 (windows store version). Then yesterday Kodi 18.0 was released to the Windows store. NextPVR client fails to start.
Also, my Android Kodi 17.6 got updated to 18.0, and the NextPVR client works fine on it.
Logs attached. Kodi acces time was 22:27, which you can see at the bottom of the Kodi log. During that time, the NextPVR log shows no activity. A few minutes later, from a browser I accessed 127.0.0.1:8866 and that works fine (and the NextPVR logs show it as well).

Your logs show the earlier failed localhost client connect on the server

I would restart your PC, Kodi might be a in a bad state.

Are you guys jeffj9930 and AdXone from the Kodi forums? There does seem to be a problem here.

Ok there is problems with UWP programs for sure. I eventually got the Windows Store version but as far as I can tell things are a mess.
