Hi there,
I've got a Nova-t usb (908) bought from scan
I cant seem to get GBPVR to link up to it i.e I get a channel information not known when I try Live TV. It works fine with the Hauppauge software and I have also tried the drivers from here
I cant see it listed at all in the pvr config am I doomed from the start or am I missing something.
Thanks

Did you click the 'Map EPG channel to digital channels' button?

Hi Sub Thanks for that I have pressed the button, (after installing intervideo!) and now I get a series of error messages as attatched. I have tried using several different card options with the same result I think nova t usb 2 is the nearest there is to my card (which is usb 1)

I dont think the original Hauppauge Nova-T has BDA drivers, so it wont work with GB-PVR. I didnt notice you were using this model on your original post.

Could you PLEASE mention on the website that its the Nova t USB2 version that is supported and not the USB1 (908) as it is not evident that this is the case. I am quite peaved that I am now out of pocket with a non supported device as I bought it to work with GBPVR. :mad: Thanks for the help any way great software shame I cant use it.

Ah give me break...this is in no way my fault. The web site doesnt say it supports the Nova-T USB2 or Nova-T USB. It clearly says on front page that it only supports it only supports DVB-T and DVB-S devices with BDA drivers.

If you'd taken the time to search for this device, you would have found it was not supported by GB-PVR: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...nova-t+usb

Support for the Nova-T USB2 was only added in the last release, but I'm holding off adding it to the displayed list of supported devices on the front page until I get more feedback on this device.

SUb I'm sure you've got a million other things to be doing However here is the supported device list on this page

* Hauppauge Nova-S
* Hauppauge Nova-T
* Pinnacle MediaCenter 300i
* Twinhan DVB-S
* Twinhan DVB-T
* Dvico Fusion DVB-T
* V-Box DTT-150
* Blockgold GDI DVB-T
* Lifeview FlyDVB-T
Now like a fool I took that to mean that all Hauppage NOVA t was supported (So not your fault that HP ahave a poor naming scheme) . All I'm asking is that a rider is put on this supported devices list, that USB support is limited, so someone else doesn't fall into the same trap. 2 minute job, may save someone else a load of cash...
BTW the reason I went for USB is I'm running a video editing machine and I want to keep the PCI bus clear during capture.)

Tell scan that you thought you ordered the usb2 version I'm sure they will change it for a restocking fee. If you can't then showshifter supports this device its on offer for £29.99 at the moment.
