Good Day...I was wondering why NPVR would be loosing the channel mappings I have set up. I noticed today That several channels I have set up for UK and US regions have suddenly un-populated/disconnected from the mapping I have setup. I use SD for the EPG data and I am not understanding why the channels would be going through a disconnection phase. Can you shed some light on this as this has become a frustrating exercise after mapping several channels. I don't know if this is a common action but if you need the logs, just let me know. Thanks in advance...cheers!

My guess is that they are pointed at a xmltv file/url that no longer has those channel IDs, so when you view the mapping it can't auto select your previously selected mapping. If the channels are still listed their, but not auto selected, then it's likely the IDs for those channels have changed.

Good Day...Thanks sub for the quick response. I think I understand what you are referring to but for clarification sake, the EPG URL is provided by my provider (not Vaders) and the XML portion is from SD. I started mapping the UK channels using DTV satellite for that area and then I mapped the US channels using the DTV satellite (USA) for those. They were all mapped manually using the drop down box, picking the correct channel lineup and moving on to the next channel repeating the steps. This had not happened before. I am not using any local drive files, just the provided EPG URL and SD.

So are you saying that from the SD side of things, SD could change the IDs? Thanks...cheers!!

Good Day...Here is some additional information that I came across as I was trying to figure out what is happening to my mappings. I know SD has 2 data services, JSON and their legacy service. When I access my SD account straight forward through mc2xml and look at my lineups I get this...

But when I access my account via EPG-123 and review my subscribed lineups I get this...

When I access through the SD website I get this...

Finally, using NPVR to map a channel I get this selection of lineups
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

The lineup I use for my UK is United Kingdom (extended)-Cable however, as you can see from the third photo, the United Kingdom (extended) is not available which is confusing to me because I can access that lineup the other 3 ways. So my question is it a possibility that my channel map is getting confused because the UK lineup is missing? Secondly, does NPVR use the legacy service or the JSON service when mapping a channel? Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide. BTW this is only happening in my UK channels not the USA or Ireland or Canada. Cheers!!

I wouldn't think so. I'm not really sure why that would be with Schedules Direct - we've seen no other reports of this happening.

Are you running "nextpvr.exe -m3u" anywhere?

Good day sub...No I don't think I am running that executable, at least not knowing that I am unless it is automatically executed by NPVR.

No it's not run automatically. If you were manually running it, it might be able to remap the EPG, based on the IPTV provider EPG. Doesn't sound like that was the case here.

I think I will escalate this issue to SD directly and see what they say. Will report back if there is some unusual finding. Cheers!!

I don't think it'll be anything to do with Schedules Direct.

Okay, I am going to troubleshoot some scenarios and watch the reactions from both NPVR and SD. One thing I didn't get a response on is whether NPVR uses the Legacy or JSON service when mapping as I described above. Cheers!!
