Android Client Subtitles?

Is it possible to get subtitles on the Android Client? I bought the app and didn't see any subtitle settings.

Subtitles work fine for me on the Windows 10 PC Client.

I also would greatly appreciate this. Just a question: if you implement the open with external player feature I asked for, I think the subtitles would come along for the ride automatically in the stream, right? For MX Player or VLC for example.

I also just purchased the android client and was disappointed that subtitled are not supported. They do however work in the web client. Any plans for subtitle support in the app? I love this app otherwise.

I purchased the app for my Mac and also downloaded the app for my android equipment.  I assumed because captioning was available for the windows client it would also be an option for the other NEXTPVR apps, but I guess not.  As with the others, captioning is VERY important to me so I would love to see it included in all of your apps.  

As a PLEX user, captioning is available on all of their apps.  For what it's worth, although PLEX is powerful, NEXTPVR attracts me because of it's simplicity.  I prefer it's quick, efficient UI over that of PLEX where there are WAY too many steps to do what you want to do.  Thank you!

If you are referring to "live captioning" provided by the newer UI's. yes, that is one solution, provided the android equipment supports it.  My phone does, but my older tablet does not.  Apple also introduced live captioning for their Macbook, but after 6mo. it's still in beta and doesn't work well at all.    Someone mentioned an external player option which may be a good solution.

I am talking about the cea608 and cea708 closed captioning that are in broadcast TV that NextPVR.exe the web app, and TV sets would be showing. I don't know what you mean by live captioning.
