Recovering deleted recordings

Hello everyone,
Just got the call from mom stating she deleted a recording by mistake. Is there a way of recovering deleted recordings? I do not think so.
Please let me know.

FYI: I back up my recordings every night to a different drive. If I accidentally delete a show, I can get it off the backup drive, provided I do it before the next backup routine.
