How about the ability to change the ending time of a recording in progress.

I'm thinking in terms of a sports program that may have started late or is running overtime. Right now, I can get around this by adjusting the clock on my GV-PVR box (after disabling automatic time updates) but this could be problematic if I have other recordings scheduled on my second source -- some juggling may be necessary to make sure the other source starts at the right time.

Cheers,

Good idea...

A better short term solution would be to setup GBPVR to record the next show that the sports channel is going to run over to. As soon as you realize it's going to run over, just hop to the tvguide and set it to record whatever is in the timeslot following the game.

Yes, it will be named incorrectly, but at least you'll capture the video and won't have to fiddle with the system time anymore. You could even do an MPEG join later if you wanted to save the whole video as a single file. That's way better than taking your chances with the clock.

Now why didn't I think of that before? Cool

You know, now that I think about it, I have played with back to back recordings on the same channel before (for the olympics last summer shortly after I set up my pvr box initially) and I remember the "blip" between recordings wasn't enough to get overly concerned about -- I've seen worse from a regular recording.

Thanks for the memory jog, that will probably do the job quite nicely.
