I'm sure that I just don't know what I'm doing. For years, I've used my own channel logos, so I know how to do that. I understand that Schedules Direct, which I now use, can supply logos. For the life of me, I cannot seem to figure out how to get that to work, and I have not found anything in the Wiki (I DID look!). Can someone illuminate me? Is this even possible?

There is an option in the settings in the artwork area that *looks* like it should do what you want, but when I enable artwork download, then enable Schedules Direct and select only the logo for artwork download, even after I purge my EPG and then update it no channel logos are downloaded (at least not anywhere I can find). So I guess we're both equally confused on how (or if) it works. '-)

If you go the the [...] button in the EPG setup beside a Schedules Direct Lineup option there is another dialog that has button to download the logos for active channels. Not exactly intuitive, but it is also where you enter the SD user ID and password.

Thanks and sorry took so long for response. Forgot to subscribe. Wow, that's pretty buried. I think you are talking about the place in device setup (for me it's colossus). Didn't try it yet because I have my own pretty good icons.

There was no really good place for it.

For some types of setups, it'll download the icons automatically, and you'll never need that button.

I can't find that. I did find the … button in he device setup. If I have my own stuff in MEDIA>CHANNELS, does that override anything that may come from schedules direct?

Sorry for reviving and old thread, and I don't mean to intrude, but I'm fiddling around with channel logos too, after having done a rescan because of spectrum packing. Some, maybe most, of my pain has been self inflicted. I've been trying to download logos from Schedules Direct as well. I deleted all entries in MEDIA>CHANNELS, then proceeded, one at a time, through the Channels display in NPVR. Double-clicking on the channel opens the details menu, where I found the ellipsis (...). I clicked on that for a particular channel and chose to download logos for active channels. For the first channel, a logo was downloaded immediately and placed in the MEDIA>CHANNELS folder with the correct filename. Then I tried the next channel, and nothing was added to the folder. I repeated this 5 times, with 5 different channels, and nothing else was added to the folder.

I didn't check what would happen if I already had a file in the folder with the correct name before the download. Perhaps I'll do that later to see if whatever you have gets overridden.

For now I'm piggybacking on this thread to ask if I have to click the download option for each channel and, if so, if it's common for Schedules Direct to find very few logos (for me, only one) to download.

Thanks for any help.

Sorry, can't help much. I already had most of the logos from various sources, so I just use them. I never really pursued the Schedules Direct logos.

No - you only need to click that button once (any channel), and it'll download the icons for all your SD channels that have an icon available.

Sorry, I don't know. I'm not a regular Schedules Direct user myself.
