XMLTV list within NextPVR

Hello everyone,
Can someone tell me where the XMLTV list from my IPTV provider gets dropped to within NextPVR? In the past I have been able to edit the channel name without affecting the mapping info. For some reason in 4.2.4 I am not able to do this.

Do you mean where to add an XMLTV file? Go to Settings / Devices. Highlight IPTV Device and click Device Setup. Then click Import. The field for the XMLTV list is on that screen.

Alternatively, if you just want to edit a channel name, go to Settings / Channels, right click on the channel in question and click Details. Then you can edit the channel name, the channel number, or the mapping, as desired.

No, I am trying to edit channel name in the channel details screen under general. The min I change the channel name I lose the mapping info under EPG source . MY URL for the XMLTV file given to me by my provider is still populated. Just no more info in the mapping drop down.

I suspect it's possibly to do with the size of your file. I have a provider which supplies thousands of streams in various languages, most of which are of no interest to me. Although I could get the m3u file to load directly in NextPVR (it took awhile to load!), I was unable to see any EPG data. I subscribe to iptv-epg dot com for my EPG data, and using their site, I cut the size of the XMLTV file down to just a few hundred rows (the streams for which I actually wanted to receive EPG data), and then loaded that into NextPVR. Then, all was fine. NextPVR seems to work much better with smaller size files!

Thanks for the info. I will have to check them out. How many days of guide data do they provide you? My iptv provider only gives me one day of data..

iptv-epg.com claims to provide 7 days of EPG data, but in practice it's more like 6½. However, they are consistent, and the data is always there for US, UK, Canadian, Irish, etc. channels, at least 6 days out into the future. They update their system every three hours around the clock. It makes it much easier for scanning programming ahead and setting up what you want to record later in the week. I paid US$23.88 for an annual sub to 100 channels of EPG data, and am currently well into my second year with them. They are responsive on the rare occasions when issues have arisen, and frankly, I couldn't be happier with their service. (And, I'm not connected with them in any way.)

Yea I now remember them. I tried them when I started with NextPVR. They are good. I may have to revert back to them but I still believe it is a issue with 4.2.4.
