Hi,

My last full day of EPG data from Zap2xml is July 19 (typically I have 14 days). Been using Zap2xml for a long time and remember several times when the Zap2xml program needed to be updated due to changes at Zap2it. We may be facing the need for another program update. The last update at the author's site is DEC2018.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'd like to rule out it being a problem with my system.

Thanks.

Same issue here so not your system. I was gonna try the tvguide login instead of zap2it to see if that will work. Will post back.

Tried setting up zap2xml to use tvguide and nothing. Couldn't even login. Looks like the developer needs to update it again but no idea if they're still doing it. Last update was in December so not too long ago.

Used to use mc2xml but switched to zap2xml when Microsoft started using Rovi data. Gonna have to try that again in the mean time.

I had problems last year with 14 days so I changed it to 13 days. Worked fine since and still get 13 days but you don't want to use the cache data that is 13 days old so I use the -N 2 option.
zap2xml -u user -p password -F -A "new live" -d 13 -N 2

Thanks for your response.

One question, is it still working fine now? What is your furthest out data date with non cached info?

I’ve tried changing to 7 days and that doesn’t work. I can’t get data for dates beyond July 19.

For me, there is a problem with the data for July 20.

Tinkering around with the Zap2xml start date switch (-s <#> start day offset) I can get data through the 19th and after the 20th.

I'm going to get one day of data at a time (-d 1) until we pass July 20. At that time I'll go back to 2 weeks.

Thanks guys.

Did you try deleting the cache folder and running the batch file to see any errors?

Yes, I did. After downloading a bunch of segments it started to get “Bad Request” errors and quit. I tried increasing the number of attempts to max (20) and that didn’t help. The only thing that worked was avoiding July 20.

Just to, hopefully, conclude this thread, here is my follow-up:

July 20 is now in the past. I went into UpdateEPG.bat and set my EPG data fetch back from a temporary 1 day to normal 14 days (-d 14). And, to start fresh with my Zap2xml data, I deleted the Zap2xml cached files and last output file.

I then ran Update EPG from within NPVR and everything worked as it should, without any errors. I now again have 2 weeks of data in NPVR's TV Guide.

There must have been something peculiar about the contents of the data for July 20.
