Hello all

I have vesion 4.24 on my laptop and v3.3.15 on KODI. I have IPTV's testing with a total of about 14000 channel. It is quote a bit. I know. On my laptop all the 14ooo channels show up and the guide not perfect but sufficient. When I launch the PVR in KODI it attempts to load channels but never does. The configurations are correct, with the same ip. I tried the version % eta as someone said it can handle a larger channel line up, but obviously the versions on my laptop both handle the big list. So my question is KODI version 3.3.15 not able to load that many channels? I tried the version 5 beta but couldn't get to the settings option. Thank you

Honestly, I'd just the delete 90% of the channels which you know you're not going to watch. It'll make things quicker and more responsive, particularly in Kodi, which doesn't like working with these large change lineups.

NextPVR v5 is better at handling large channel sets, but realistically life will be simpler if you just cut it down to the channels you actually want.

What exactly happened when you tried in v5? ie, could you get to the settings page at http://localhost:8866/settings.html?

Assuming you have VOD off and you still have 14k channels how many have epg data? I can load about 200 channels in 30 seconds and that is twice as fast as v4.

I will dfinitely cut back the channels. How many is too much? 90% woukld be 1400.

Thank you.

On your attached url ( http://localhost:8866/settings.html), when i first clicked on it it connected and the epg launched perfect. i When i launched it a few minutes later i get:

This site can’t be reached localhost refused to connect.
Search Google for localhost 8866 settings
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

On the Web app option in the v.5 I get this:
This site can’t be reached localhost refused to connect.
Search Google for localhost 8866 index
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

On 127.0.0.1:8866 I get:

This site can’t be reached 127.0.0.1 refused to connect.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

However, when I launch the v 4.24 it launches fine.

Was NextPVRServer.exe still running in your command prompt window? It sounds like it wasn't.

The nextpvr was not running. Once I got it running everything fell into place and on the backend and front end all worked and even loaded all the channels on KODI pvr. But to day it doesnt load in KODIs pvr.
