Sub,
Just wanted to catch your attention with my thread title Smile
Anyhow, I'm wondering how difficult it would be for you to add a subtitle feature, similar to how PLEX does it.
If I start a show in PLEX that I've downloaded, I can just click on subtitles and it will automatically find it and begin using it.
As it is now in NPVR I have to go to the subtitles web site and search for the subtitle to match my download, and then put it in the same directory as the show, then rename it to match the show before I can see it.
The PLEX method is really great, but I would rather be using NPVR.
Thanx.

You should already just be able to turn on subtitles for any video that already have them, like recording that have closed captions, or videos that have an srt file.

For files that down have them, like downloaded videos, do you know where plex gets them from?

I don't know where or how PLEX gets the subtitles; maybe someone else can help.
There are several different websites that I use.

You may be right; my search also led me to believe they may be getting them from "opensubtitles.org", or "TheTVDB".

Sub,
Do you think this is anything you might tackle, or should I just forget about it?

Maybe. I haven't looked at it yet - too much other stuff on the go.
