I deleted the first 10 entries of /usr/share/dvb/atsc/us-Cable-Standard-center-frequencies-QAM256 and scan ran fine. Seems to be fixed now.

Strange that tvheadend had no problem and NPVR 4 on the windows using the same file has no problem.

Now the problem is that not all of the channels play on Kodi. They seem to play on a web browser with a warning that the server is too slow, it is an old pentium 4 machine. I will put the tuner in the (not much) better machine later.

Yeah, it is weird. Both dvbv5-scan, and NextPVR v5 use the Linux TV api called libdvbv5, and it sounds like that is the component that doesn't like something about these frequencies. Hopefully a subsequent version of this library will fix the issue.

All working now! Poor old machine couldn't cut the mustard.
