From memory, I think you can open http://127.0.0.1:8866/channels in vlc, and it'll get an m3u list supplied by NextPVR.

I have been able to download the m3u8 file but am unable to open it within vlc. any other way to open the play list? Thank you, Bruce

It should work with any player that supports m3u playlists. If it is not opening the listed streams, perhaps create the file on another machine on your local LAN to get a real IP.

When I download the file I can see it in my downloads folder. It is when I try to open the file within VLC I am not able to see it in the downloads folder.

The browser just downloads a file called channels, you need to rename it to channels.m3u8 so that vlc's filtered open displays it.

Got it to work...Had to re download VLC from the internet instead of the Microsoft store.
sub Wrote:From memory, I think you can open http://127.0.0.1:8866/channels in vlc, and it'll get an m3u list supplied by NextPVR. @ sub I need your help please I have port 8866 open it's link to one of my desktop (192.168.0.23 )but i install nextpvr on another desktop (192.168.0.25) and i change the 8866 to another port 5645 that is open for that desktop ip and i can not make no m3u channel list...Is it we have to use port 8866 if you need to make a m3u channel playlist ...btw I did change the web server port to 5645 and I still could not make a m3u channel playlist.both 8866 and 5645 is open on my modem to portforward. |
