New cable Box IR Blaster Issue

Cox just swapped out all my cable boxes (apparently they are getting rid of all old motorola boxes and forcing everyone to "upgrade". In any case, the new box is a small thing (model CXD01ANI) and everything still works except for the IR Blaster to change channels. Blastcfg (I'm still using a WinTV-HVR-1600) can't find the code and trying to get it to "learn" the new remote has been an exercise in futility. Thus two questions:

1) Has anyone been successful in setting up this config with one of these new boxes and/or

2) Is there a way to set up the PVR to bypass the IRBlaster which always seems to be a pain in the ass.

Update: This problem was basically solved in the thread "Colossus IR Blaster with Pace PX022ANM Xfinity X1 is working!" - The box model referred to in my above post is a Pace XiD (which is the small box used in conjunction with the PX022ANM or Pace XG2). Apparently, all these boxes use basically the same codes so I was able to get and use the HCWBlast.ini identified in that thread and things started working (Cox was able to provide me with the location of the IR sensor on the box).

Once again these forums come through (many thanks to the person who posted the above referenced thread) to get me back in business.
