Are conskip files used?

I run comskip on the recordings, and use the PVR addon to connect to the latest NextPVR v5 docker image.

Are the comskip files supposed to be used by the PVR component?

If I convert the TS to mp4, and play the recording, mp4 file, outside of the PVR, directly from the NAS using KODI the comskip files are used, if I play the TS file the comskip files are not used - I guess this is kodi design.

My main issue is if I play the Recording using the PVR add-on the comskip files are ignored, is this really expected?

It was not expected but a bug was introduced in Kodi 18.4 that broke ts file comskip playback. It is fixed in the nightly builds.
