Hi, new user here...

Just installed NPVR 4 on a clean install of Windows 10 (an Acer AIO with built in AverMedia Polaris DTV tuner) and I'm get a silent blank screen on live TV.

Records ok.

Tried various video codecs :-
 - ffdshow
 - MainConcept (HCW) MPEG2
 - Arcsoft MPLEX

and audio codecs

 - ffdshow
 - MPEG Audio
 - MS DTV-DVD
 - Haupage MPEG Layer 1/2 Audio

in various combinations with no change

Tried all listed renderers

Basically fiddled with most settings with no change.

Any suggestions before I finally give up would be much appreciated Sad

Cheers, Kram

Are you sure your tuner works with the softerware that came with it? I don't see it seeing a signal

Well NPVR records OK from the AverMedia - not tried with the Haupage (original software for the AverMedia was Windows Media Center - gone in Win 10 of course). However it does work with Cyberlink Power Director so the drivers are ok.

When your record you use a different tuner then when you watch live tv so that might still be the problem. Change the option for reversing the tuner in live tv to see if that makes a difference

Before playback change your audio to default from Realtek and change your Audio (AAC and MP2) and Video (MP2 and H264) to LAV. They won't be a problem unless you are using a really old version
