Pass M3U File from NextPVR to VLC/Other

Hi there,

First time poster - loving NextPVR so far!

I saw a post on reddit which was of interest to me. A user said that he is able to pull an M3U list from NextPvr and have other applications access it. I would like to do the same but Im struggling to get his method to work. 
Attatched is a screenshot from the post. Can anyone explain this to me?

I am surprised you couldn't find the information with a forum search

In v4 the url is http://ip:8866/channels  and to test with vlc

vlc http://ip:8866/channels --no-playlist-autostart

in v5 the url "http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.m3u" and is a little more complicated off on remote machine
"http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.m3u&host_callback=ip:8866"

vlc "http://ip:8866/service?method=channel.m3u&host_callback=ip:8866" --no-playlist-autostart
