TV Listings plug-in crashes NextPVR when deleting recordings

We have installed and configured the TV Listings plug-in within NextPVR, as it has some nice features. However, whenever we attempt to delete a recording using this plug-in, on almost every occasion it results in NextPVR freezing, and having to be forcefully terminated from the Task Manager. The NPVR.log file also starts ballooning in size.

Once NextPVR has been terminated and re-opened, it appears that it did manage to actually delete the file.

On reviewing the logs, it appears that the RecordingSchedule routine in TV Listings is waiting for a task to complete before it can proceed, however this task never appears to complete, resulting in the program hanging.

Given that you appear to be a new user, before spending too much time on version 4 and plugins that won't work with the version 5 I think it would be wise for you to consider starting fresh with the new version.

Hi Martin,

Many thanks for your reply. As advised by "sub" on https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59389 I went with v4 in the end, as I would consider myself an average user wanting a stable release on a migration from WMC 

It has taken me many days to get set up in version 4 and to import our library of 1100 or so .wtv files across using my own PowerShell scripts, so I don't think I'll be moving across to version 5 any time soon, unless things have moved on considerably since the above was posted?

The post you linked to is 6 month's old so yes with updates every week or two there have been considerable changes. The recording table in the database should be compatible.

Thank you, is there an upgrade path from v4 to v5? Or does one need to export the library and config to XML and re-import in a fresh install (v5)?

I would probably just use sqlite to copy the table rather than importing and exporting of the files will be on the same PC.

You might also be able to copy your old npvr.db3 delete all the tuners and channels and keep the recordings and previously watch information. I know I was doing that for months before I migrated to v5
