Hi there,

I set up Next PVR on my PC and everything has worked out fine.  I'm able to record future shows through a browser with no issues as well which is the reason why I set this up.  However, things have been very rocky when it comes to the Android app which I use on Nvidia Shield TV and I also tried on my Razer phone with similar issues.  A couple times now, the app couldn't find the server with the majority of the time, it would connect, but MULTIPLE TIMES, and the bigger issue, the app crashes on me after connecting.  And once it crashes once, it just keeps crashing until I either uninstall the app and reinstall or clear the app data.  Exact same things happens with my Razer phone.  I have noticed that it consistently crashes, however, when I specifically change IPTV categories under settings.  It doesn't crash every time I change categories but that's usually when this issue occurs and it happens way too often.  

Another issue I run into with the app is recording.  One time, I'm able to record a show on a specific channel and then minutes later, I can't record on that same channel or even the same show after cancelling the recording with the error stating ' unable to find tuner' or something of that sort.  Once again, on the PC, I haven't had any issues of this nature.  I have the PC on 24/7 with no sleep or hibernate but only the monitor shuts off after a few minutes.  

Otherwise, when working, I find it ideal to watch IPTV and record my favourite shows.  It's a godsend once I get beyond these hiccups.

Also, I was looking to sideload the app which I already purchased onto an Amazon Fire TV 4k stick but how do I go about acquiring the APK since I install it through Google Play store?

Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.

You probably have too many IPTV stations or VOD enabled for smooth operation.

You can't sideload the commercial app on Amazon devices without sideloading Google Play.

I suspect Martin is probably right - it probably doesn't like the number of channels. I'd start by deleting the 90% of channels you know you'll never use, then see if it starts running.

I already eliminated all foreign channels with a channel editor (IPTV-EPG). So I basically only have US/Canadian channels remaining. I have just over 1500 active channels according to the Device folder.

BTW, that reminds me... is there a way to eliminate some devices? I pressed the Save button way too many times when first starting, thinking that it wasn't actually saving to then notice that I have several. Could that be contributing to the issue as well?

Only 1500. In v5 hold the ctrl key and a hidden option will let you delete IPTV devices.

To see if this is even your problem, try leaving just a 100 or so channels, then see if it works more reliably.

When checking my devices, I did notice that I had the full channel list on one of my devices. I deleted all channels on that and tried to make the app crash and it never did. So it does sound like the issue was too many channels. One issue I did have though is when trying to delete devices, I pressed Control button and just had new Settings windows pop up but I didn't see anywhere where I could actually delete a device. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.

You're using NextPVR v5 right, not v4?
