Just wondering if there are any thoughts on something I'm doing wrong with a new tuner I bought.

Its a TBS6902 twin tuner. So I installed it and added the driver, which seems OK, I went into NextPVR and adjusted the LNB settings and it found and added 33 channels on Tuner 0. I then went to do Tuner 1 but it offered to transfer settings across so I did. I updated the guide. I tried to watch using tuner 0 and it doesn't show anything, in Chrome think it said something about transcoder failure. If I try to watch the same channel using tuner 1 it works fine. In the server window it says something about 'Root element is missing' if thats connected at all.

I only have one aerial cable for now so have to swap connections at the back of the computer for the two tuners.

Not sure if the latest logs are any use, have been rebooting PC at various stages...

That's normal for a few hundred milliseconds after streaming live tv is started.

I can't help but wonder if it's related to this.

Hopefully I'l be able to get a splitter tomorrow and have both tuners connected up. Was just checking. Still, am 99.9% sure I used Tuner 0 to find the channels, so hopefully its not faulty, unless its decided to stop working after 10 minutes.

Could the signal be strong enough to pick up on the initial scan but not strong enough to actually play a channel ?

Possibly. Unfortunately the logging in v5 will only log for one native tuner. I’ll need to change the device.log file name so we can see logs for both devices in the same session

Does the existing logging automatically log the tuner thats (hopefully) being used ?

I could log from each one if it makes a difference, unless its just not a NextPVR thing.

Yes, at the top of the device.log file.

Restarted server and this log from 18:13 should be tuner 0, but the log says tuner 1 at the top

Restarted again and using Tuner 1 at 18:20ish, which plays, also says Tuner 1 at the top of the log

How are you trying to make it go to one tuner vs another?

I just move the cable to 0 or 1 and assume it know what to do (never had a twin tuner before), so there's probably a duh moment coming up soon...
