Raspberry Pi 4B 4GB Memory
Version: 5.0.1.200103

In a recent release the 'Remember Me' feature was added.  Having set the option on login to remember me, how do I then unset this option or logout of the web app ?

The problem I am facing is that I having moved my recording to a new location I cannot seem to reimport the recordings to NPVR, This is what I did:

exported my recordings to an XML file using the Export Recording option
Editted the XML to reflect the new location for all recordings and saved the XML file.
Deleted all my existing recordings via the web app from the old location
Changed my default Recording location
Imported the updated XML file.

At this point the app told me 'No recordings imported'. I tried again but the XML file would not open in the Import Recordings dialogue box. I zipped up the XML into a Zip file  and tried to import that, no success same error message.  At some point I got the message 'No recording imported. Not logged in' (hence my request above) but after trying several combinations of XML/Zip file import I can't now remember how this came about.

Is there a limit on the size of an imported XML file (would be surprised if there was as this file was essential generated by NPVR and only slightly altered by me, not changing the file size substantially).

Do I need to delete all my scheduled recording before I can import the revised XML file ?

Logs attached - nrecord.log files only as npvr.log doesn't seem to be created on PRPi / Linux ?

Any other thoughts as to how I can get my recordings back into NPVR without reinstating my original location ?

Thanks

Chris

The best way to unremember is to edit config.xml and remove the PermanentSid values.

Thanks, removing the PermanentSid values enabled me to login again but did nothing for my problems with the import of recordings. Any suggestions for that problem ? I have changed the thread title to more properly represent the actual issue. It appears I forgot to attach the logfiles to the original post too.

Thanks

Chris

Sorry I don't know how the import works is it a zip file or xml you upload? It seems to want a zip

2020-01-12 17:14:40.076 [DEBUG][21] Received import of type: application/x-zip-compressed

I have tried both XML and ZIP files. I have definitely been able to import recordings using an XML file in the past which is what made me wonder if there was some file size limit but I don't seen anything to say this is the problem in the log files.

Can anybody else help please ?

Thanks

Chris

Can you zip and attach your xml file? I'll check it here.

As requested I have attached a zipped up version of the XML file I am trying to import.

BTW - it seems that new recordings to the new location can be made, so I am now wondering if this problem is some sort of permissions problem where the importer is not running as the same user as the recording engine. Could this be possible?

I wil be away from home now until the end of this week so won't be able to respond until then to any further requests.

Chris

I can see a bug in the application I'll need to fix, which is stopping it from trying the import.

However, your xml file has <nas_recordings> instead of <recordings> so wouldn't have been able to be imported from anyway.

Thanks for the quick turnaround on this issue - I thought I was going crazy with it.

BTW - /home/pi/nas_recordings is the 'new location' I had discussed earlier in the posts so it is correct for my installation.

I will look forward to the next version, may be before I get back later in the week (?), to try reloading these old recordings, as I said above new recordings are being sent to the new location so those will be OK whilst I am away.

Thanks

I believe that what sub was saying is it looks like you did global search and replace to change "recordings" to "nas_recordings" in the file names, but in the process also changed the XML tags from <recordings> to <nas_recordings>. And that won't work!
