Hello,

If I set the option to transcode uing my INTEL GPU I get the below message:

"NOTE: On Windows, GPU acceleration is only possible when running as a process, not a service"

I would like to ask if that could be made GPU transcoding possible even with the service, if we changed the service and specified as follows:

1. Interact with Desktop
2. Run as specific user

Thanks and regards

Tried both options and I get "Transcoder Exited" so I guess neither option works...

Just try it and see. It might work for you. Another user had indicated it worked for them from a service.

When I experimented with it in the past, it wasn't possible to use the GPU from a service, and it was a well documented limitation. The process had to be running on the desktop. It may have changed in recent builds of Win10.

If it doesn't work from a service for you, you can try your suggestion. If that doesn't help, you can either disable GPU acceleration, or run it on the desktop as a regular process.

But when I stopped the service and run the "NextPVRServer.exe" executable, I also got "Transcoder exited' error.
Now I am confused...

I have an Intel HD Graphics card on my box that is running NPVR Server. How can I try and make GPU transcoding work?

Attaching the logs. I see some errors in nrecord.log

It looks like it didn't like something about the source stream.

Try playing an existing recording first. If that doesn't work, put the .ts file somewhere like dropbox/onedrive for me to download and let me know the url. I'll try it here.

The GPU support is still very very new, so may need further tweaking for some people's streams.

Hi Martin,

I have configured the below:

In config.xml:

<Language>Default</Language>

<ArtworkPreferredLanguage>English</ArtworkPreferredLanguage>

<LanguagePreferenceEIT>gre</LanguagePreferenceEIT>

<LanguagePreference1>eng</LanguagePreference1>

<LanguagePreference2>default</LanguagePreference2>

<Subtitles>
    <PreferredLanguage>eng</PreferredLanguage>

  </Subtitles>

and in advanced system settings the below system variable:

NEXTPVR_EIT_LANG = gre

All channels are actually failing, both SD (mpeg2) and HD (h.264)

Thanks Martin,

I tried it just now and it failed as well.
