Potentially easier for you, but not for me. The issue is jellyfin devs breaking the addon with no notification so it would be better in an repo. that they support. Since I started this, they have changed the API twice something that hasn't been happening with Emby.

I basically am looking to get feedback on whether or not a user with Schedules Direct as an EPG source gets all the Live TV art they expect and if not I want to see the logs. If there is not bug I will see if they allow it as an official addon.

I understand.

I finally tried setting it up with the latest zip, but it did not work for me. It was probably something I did wrong.
I have jellyfin and NextPVR setup using docker and macvlan. I have a HDHomeRun device, and I have my own XMLTV.xml file for guide data. I can see the guide and view live tv on both NextPVR and JellyFin, but I was not able to get your Jellyfin plugin to work. The plugin showed up as version 3, and had the debug toggle twice, one of them looked like a merge conflict with <<<<, ====, and >>>> sections.

I decided to try NextPVR because Jellyfin's own DVR recordings freeze the video after a few minutes during playback. NextPVR recordings don't freeze, so I thought I'd give the plugin a try.

Anyway, I hope you succeed in making this official. I will try it again when I can install it from the catalog.

I have no idea how or where to setup the plugin on docker but I assume you need to remove the v4 addon if it is installed and replace it with the appropriate v5 addon for the jellyfin version you are running.

It's a catch-22 I have no desire to make this official without user testing and feedback. Thanks for the feedback though.

Just curious, when is v5 nextpvr support coming out on jellyfin. There are users on this thread claiming to be using it for jellyfin. I cannot find a download anywhere or do I have to clone the github currently up. I tried the v4 release of the plugin which doesn't have nextpvr 5.0.0 support. This would help me a ton seeing how my only other options required me to pay a pass for what should be a free live tv server you setup. The pass system is such a weird paywall they throw in and does nothing other than to support the developers. I would rather optionally donate whenever I can seeing how I might be getting a high paying job soon to support the developers plex pass and emby passes only hurt those who are broke such as me at the moment. Thank you for all the hard work you guys have done at nextpvr and jellyfin keep it up, I have time on my side.

Edit: Also currently using outdated version of NextPVR 4.2.5 because of this.

Hello! I just set up NextPVR 5.0 with Jellyfin using the most recent download you posted in late August, and I can confirm that channel icons, box art, and all the other LiveTV artwork from Schedules Direct are working, although some of the images are the wrong aspect ratio for the buttons and so they get cut off. Not sure if this is a Jellyfin issue or NextPVR, but here's a screenshot of the "Programs" section:

It's the same deal in the "Channels" section. When the channel's logo is square, it works perfectly, but a rectangular logo gets cut off on both sides. Maybe it would be possible to just pad rectangular logos so the images are always square? Otherwise, everything seems to work fine. Let me know if there's anything more I can help test. I very much appriciate you updating this plugin, I just moved from TVHeadend and I have to say, NextPVR is so much easier to use.

@Nawor3565 Thanks for that feedback, I can know see what I can do to make this "official". After the reports of missing art I needed the confirmation that with a solid source things would be OK.

So I have finally done a complete new install of NPVR v5 and the Artwork (not from Schedules Direct) is there again...

Sorry for the inconvenience...

Somewhere during the thread sub added a new API which makes art downloading simpler. Hopefully that makes a little difference for unnecessary duplicates in the jellyfin cache.

I did submit the addon as a PR to jellyfin yesterday, but haven't heard anything back for their team members yet.

Martin

I recently purchased a TCL Roku 4K TV so I now have some interest in Jellyfin/NextPVR. There is a Roku app for Jellyfin but don't know if the NextPVR plugin is supported. Hopefully it is. There is no Kodi app for Roku that I know of.

I plan to set up Jellyfin with the NextPVR plugin and see if the Roku app supports it.
