Hi Martin,

First a wee disclaimer, I have been testing Libreelec Kodi 19 Alpha Milhouse 9.80 version around #229, being one that runs both Netflix and KnewC Plugins on my RPi3.

If you like I can try a stable Libreelec build but I did try 9.2.1 which is Kodi 18.6 and it disabled the knewc addon entirely.

I can play DMB-TH FTA just fine but when I try to play a HD Program from my cable box it just does the blue circle then drops back to the menu.

Playing a previously recorded show from the same channel plays fine?

I am using Native Streams; Confluence Skin. Logs attached for both v4 and v5 runs (but please ignore v5 one).

k.

For some reason after quite a few attempts with 3 different browsers, I cannot upload the logs by attaching them. So I stuck them here:

You can't go back an forth between v18 and v19 since addons are not downward compatible and as noted in another thread I haven't released a version of knewc that will install on Matrix because of a poor decision by the Kodi team. Best to reinstall v18 and confirm the test.

Also you have large zip files in both log folders that will make uploading uploading it tough.

Hi Martin,

Sure will do. Is any .x version of 18 OK e.g. will knewc work on the latest 18.6 OK or should I look for just first version of Kodi 18 (.0)?
I will look at how to reduce log sizes.

All the v18 versions are fine so latest is good they changed v19.

You are getting logs the wrong way, you seem to be copying file to a folder that has an old zip file. Just use the built in zip in v4 and especially in v5.

Hi Martin, apologies for the delay, I reinstalled Kodi v18.6 from scratch (Libreelec 9.2.1 brand new install on a newly formatted micro-SD Card) added the knewc add-on, copied the XML directory files across and imported Kodi shows. As before, from NextPVR Client the OTA channels (HD) work fine; prerecorded shows from the same channels that do not work, work fine. However LiveTV from HD Channels do not work?

The file grows (seems to) but then it just drops out (back to the TV Guide?) just like before.

Hopefully logs are correct size now?
I tried it on Ethernet (100) as well as WiFi.

[EDIT] I just tried changing my Cable Box Output from 1080i to 1080p25; some success, it starts slowly and buffers but it does seem to play. Is 1080p25 less resource hungry than 1080i?

Is your blaster scripter working? This typically means a channel wasn't locked

Good pickup. No it's not.
The v5 setup doesn't appear to have a section for Blaster Configuration?
I thought it was OK as I saw the reference to the blaster bat.

Currently you can only set the blaster configuration when you import/create the channels. If you need to change the blaster config, you'd need to delete and re-add the channels.

That said, it looks like you've already on the channels set to use GXPC4312H_UUTX_SIMPLE.bat, so you can probably just make whatever changes in there, rather than re-adding the channels?

FYI, editing the blaster settings wouldn't have been in that screen, which is Settings->Channels. The ability to edit the blaster configuration will eventually appear in Settings->Devices->HDPVR.

There are a lot of issues in the script folder because the scripts and related files haven't been updated to use NPVR-data probably the import when the file was copied did the same thing. Maybe making sure they are updated and valid will be on thing. Perphaps just copying the DEVCON utility will help.

Also note the full location for your imported batch file is

C:\Users\Public\NPVR\ChanChg\GXPC4312H_UUTX_SIMPLE.bat

so it has be considered too.

Thank you both once again. I ended up just going into my scripts and channel changer (ChanChg) directories (which contain all my batch files) and updating all the paths from /NPVR/ to /NPVR-data/ and yippee, channel changes work again. Awesome. I must have just copied them all across quite a few months ago when I first trialled v5 and didn't update it properly then. I could probably have used DEVCON but I would need to learn it and that would take a while :-).

Cheers
