For the past 24 hours or so, most of Matt Huismann's excellent list of IPTV streams for NZ channels have returned 404 errors within NPVR (v5 and also v4).

But when I tried a couple of the individual streams in VLC, they were fine. Client ID/blocking issue perhaps?

Can you try this updated nshared.dll and let me know if it helps?

Thanks. Alas, still having issues. Here's what I did on my NPVR 5 machine:

Stopped NPVR service
Renamed Nshared.dll in the NextPVR and NextPVR\Client subdirectories
Put the new one into both places
Restarted NPVR service

Played TV3 from a browser client (had worked previously, still worked)
Played TV1 from the same client - failed with Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)

Should I provide more information/logs? The latter are showing 404 errors, as before.

Hmm did work for me. Yeah restart, and try tv1, then post the logs and I’ll take a look.

You actually had slightly different urls to me, so the workaround logic wasn't kicking in for these urls.  Try this one.

Great progress, thanks! Several channels that were bad are now fine - Prime and Al Jazeera are still giving what looks like the same error - though of course it may not be the same issue under the hood.

Yeah, Matt has multiple options and locations for his files and perhaps the URLS vary slightly; I'm using the set from http://i.mjh.nz/nz/kodi-tv.m3u8 fwiw.

Thanks again!

Prime is working here. If it's still not working, I'm happy to look at your log to see what's going on.

Al Jazeera is not working here in VLC or NextPVR, so probably not a NextPVR issue.

Prime is now good here also, perhaps I beflubbled my prior test. Thanks again for your efforts.

Alas, Prime is certainly not reliable though the other NZ channels have been fine since the patch.

Oftentimes on Prime I'm getting the video but no sound - this is true of live TV and recorded streams (even when playing the recorded .ts file independently in VLC, so it's a record-time issue).

Today, Prime wasn't working at all - no video at all, "transcoder exited". But if I load the stream directly from https://i.mjh.nz/nz/tv.28.m3u8 in VLC, it's just fine, video and audio both. That suggests it's a NextPVR handling issue with their stream.

Logs for just that test are here for the time being:

Thanks!
