Recording was working fine for me at first and I made no changes.  For some unknown reason, all my recordings create a file that is size zero now, which can not open because...well...there's literally no data at size zero.

Live Tv works fine.... Well, when I first run live TV, the current channel never shows....just stays black but when I bring up the channels menu and change the channel, live TV starts showing perfectly, all channels.  Why live TV does show the default channel before channel change is beyond me.

It seems like NextPvR has some major issues under the hood.

Of course, I just want to get my recordings back actually recording some data.    Sad

PS, I tried to upload the NRecord log but got a file not allowed message.

Do an attempted recording, then [ost the logs and we'll take a look.

You need to attach the zip log files.

So I started random shows....  Waited several minutes and stopped the recordings.  If recording was working, I would no have a zero size file but they are zero.  I found the zip log button and added the logs to this post.....

There is no attempted recordings shown in the most recent log. Try again, making sure at least one recording has started, then repost the logs.

The recording behavior makes no sense.  Now it's like certain things will record and others won't.  I just had two random shows record, while others failed.  I'm uploading the size zero files in a zip so you'all can see, I'm not just going mad.

I don't think you are going mad I think your tuner isn't able to lock on a signal

2020-04-29 02:06:00.635 [DEBUG][22] locked=0, present=0, strength=0, quality=0 (took 16ms to check)

Does it work in WinTV?

Maybe some of your channels have moved frequencies? I know this is happening in some parts of the states as they prepare for ATSC 3.0.

I'd check if it's always the same channels that fail.

I don't use WinTv but everything does work with Total Media 3.5. I can watch live Tv and record with no problems. Windows Media center was perfect as well before Microsoft shut it down, it the issues are with NextPvR.

Windows 7 64 bit (home)
AMD chipset
Nvidia graphics
8 gigs Ram

That doesn't tell us if your frequencies have changed since you originally scanned the channels in NextPVR.

You could always try deleting your channels and rescanning. You'd likely need to reschedule any recordings though.
