The last few nights I have been unsuccessful in recording the above program - only the folder and sometimes the xml file have created. Just wondered if it was something to do with the length of the program name that appears in the EPG - "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? In the final episode of the series, six new contestants attempt to take on the world's most famous quiz opposite host Jeremy Clarkson"? Certainly Windows has problems when putting it in the recycle bin!

Is that the program name, or description? What's your guide source?
As mentioned above, we'll need the logs. ![]() <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> -<recording> <filename>C:\Users\Mick Allen\Desktop\Television recordings\Who Wants To Be A Millionaire In the final episode of the series, six new contestants attempt to take on the worlds most famous quiz opposite host Jeremy Clarkson\Who Wants To Be A Millionaire In the final episode of the series, six new contestants attempt to take on the worlds most famous quiz opposite host Jeremy Clarkson_2020-05-15_21002210.ts</filename> <channel>B ITV</channel> <status>READY</status> <startTime>2020-05-15 20:55:00</startTime> <endTime>2020-05-15 22:15:00</endTime> <channel_OID>12525</channel_OID> <title>Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? What a mess!! Its no wonder it didnt record if the xml file is part of an xmltv file you are importing as your NextPVR! You didnt say what your EPG source was. What software did you use to create the XML file as its not correctly processing the data to go into the database. I use EPG Collector to process the Freeview and Freesat EPG data to import the XMLTV EPG file into NextPVR for historical reasons but if I was starting today there are now much easier ways to get the same result.
NextPVR Server - HP N54L Microserver, Windows 10 - Storage 2 X 3TB - Tuners DVBSky S952 Twin DVB-S/S2 PCIe, Hauppauge Twin DVB-T2 USB, Telestar Digibit R1 Sat>IP Server.
Clients:- 2 X RPi3, 1 X RPi4 and Acer RL80 Celeron Nettop all running NextPVR New Client on LibreElec.

The XML file was created by Next PVR.
The program name was... Who Wants To Be A Millionaire In the final episode of the series, six new contestants attempt to take on the worlds most famous quiz opposite host Jeremy Clarkson which came from the EPG in Next PVR

Obviously the title should be "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and the rest of the line the description. I cannot find the particular programme in the EPG as all the ones I have are "Classic Episodes". If this is a just one off problem then it is probably a problem at ITV where someone made a mistake formatting the EPG?

I found this https://www.itv.com/hub/who-wants-to-be-...a7907a0086 and it does seem to be something in the source, nothing to do with the output xml, perhaps sub parses OTA and this one misses his rules?

Are you using the DVB EPG, or xmltv, for your guide data?
