Desktop App Crashes

Trying to update from NPVR v4 to v5.  Uninstalled V4, installed V5, copied scripts, DB3 file, and batch files from old version.

Web app seems to work fine, but Desktop app is crashing with a .Net error.

Did you "damage" the V5 skin files in ... Program Files\NextPVR\data\skin\Default  ... during your copies?

Did you "damage" the V5 skin files in ... Program Files\NextPVR\data\skin\Default  ... during your copies?

All I copied was the config.xml and npvr.db3 files, and the UpdateEPG.bat and PostProcessing.bat files in the scripts folder.

Unfortunately it looks like it's crashing before flushing the logs, so the logs are empty

What exactly did you copy from v4 in the v5 data directory?

I'd maybe back up any files you want to keep, then delete the c:\users\public\NPVR-Data directory, and restart it, to check that it's running as a first step.

I'd be especially wary of any skin settings in config.xml so start by deleting config.xml

It must have  been something in the config.xml file. I deleted the NPVR-Data folder, restarted, then copied back the NPVR.db3 and script files. Seems to be working now.

Is there any way to have the desktop app open full screen? Every time I open it, it starts as a tiny window that I have to maximize. I tried resizing the window, but it didn't keep that either.

Also, is there any way to reduce the font size on the TV guide? The text is much larger than it needs to be, so a lot of show names don't fit. Ironically, the web app is just the opposite, the fonts are tiny and hard to see.

Is there any way to increase the height of each channel in the TV Guide? I only have about 9 or 10 channels, and would like to have a little more vertical height for each channel.
