Since the problem can be assimilated to what I also complain (each scan gets different LCN# results), is it conceivable that an increase in drop time could offer a solution?

Increased the time digital device scans would wait for LCN data. Also honors drop time setting for those needing to wait even longer.

Yes, I tried editing the config.xml file (in .NPVR-data in my home directory on Arch Linux) prior to my first post. I changed  ScanCollectionMS  to 5000 and ScanDropTime  to 4500, but it made no difference.

This setting is Windows only, so won't do anything on Linux.
