Can anyone explain the logic behind the Channel numbering ?
I am using nextPVR v4.2.5 (having recently replaced Windows Media Center).
I've just retuned today as I receive from Sandy Heath and they've just done another "Post 700MHz clearing" change.
In case it's relevant, I am using a TBS 6280 Dual DVB-T2/T BDA card

I'm confused by the channel numbering, many channels do not appear at the same number as _ALL_ my other freeview devices. It's a bit troubling when you are used to typing in say number 107 (BBC News HD) only to have nothing appear. At first I thought that it had failed to tune it but I found it at channel 793!!

Is there some setting I have missed ?

thanks for any advice offered

NextPVR isn't always able to automatically detect the channels name and number when it does a scan so in that case it gets added to the bottom of the list and you need to manually renumber it.

It's a timing issue. The channel numbers are sent separately from the channel list, and often in the UK its already found the channel list before the LCN (logical channel numbers), and decided to move onto the next frequency.

You could try deleting the channels, editing the config.xml to increase the <ScanDropTime>, then try rescanning.
