Yes, no crash, just two blank screens.

Please zip and attach NextPVR logs from Settings -> About and tell us the time that you saw the blank screens so that we know where to look in the logs.  Thanks.

I can make the blank screens happen any time on my phone. Typically every other time I start the app. But you confused me now. Do the logs on the PC really tell you what happened on my phone?

The logs on the PC might show, for example, whether the app on the phone sent a message to the PC requesting data.  The log messages might help Sub to find where to look in the app software.

Tried to use phone at 8:17 PM.  As usual, saw blank screens for channels and guide.  Attached are logs.

Does it make any difference if you go to the Settings screen and explicitly change the channel group?

I made a small group of 5 favorite channels and the phone shows them and their listings when I select that group. So it does work with a reduce channel count. My normal number of channels is 132. Didn't think that was alot. Is there a maximum number of channels that you can have for android?

Update - So when I restart NextPVR on my phone, it always does the blank channel and guide thing 100% of time. I quick switch to the 5 channel group, it works, then go back to all channels and it now works. This is repeatable. Also each channel takes a finite time (~1 sec) to get its program and it moves down the screen slowly. And if I don't scroll down, those channels off the screen won't update until I scroll. Is this normal? Just checking. Seems odd that channels not on the screen won't update their information until I scroll to them.

From the error it was looking like something timing related, but I haven't worked out what exactly yet. It's basically asking for the listings before it got the channels loaded. I don't know if it because your device is quicker, or slower, or something slightly different about sequence of events in Android 10.x. I'm hoping to have close look today.

There isn't a limit on the number of channels.

Normally what would happen is that it'll demand-load any listings as they become visible, and cache them if needed later. People can have huge guides, so it doesn't attempt to preload all the guide info. The web app is the same - it's guide only loads the listings for the visible channels (and the next few channels)

It is normally very quick to demand load the listings for each channel, so not a big deal (assuming you're on a local network, not across the internet). It does all the visible channels in parallel. So, if you were clicked on the Guide tab, I would have expected the listings for all the visible channels to have loaded within a second. You shouldn't see it slowly filling in the lines.

What processor is in your NextPVR server?
