New Session Logout API

I was just wondering... do I need to use this API call after each and every session login? What happens if I login in twice without an intervening logout? Will the second login be rejected?

Right now there is little reason to use it other than best practice. For the second question an IP can multiple connections so it is not one to one.

Thanks. I was thinking that skipping the logout may result in server "clutter" of unused active session keys.
