@cncb Is there any way you could install a portable Windows install without MySQL and confirm the issue with Matrix alpha3? The main issue is the addon doesn't actually know when a recording will end. When it starts it knows the stop time and potential padding but it doesn't know if the recording padding will be used, or if it extended or cancelled outside Kodi.

I do have a trial version that handles this scenario a little better but I'm not sure it is ideal logic. I estimate that the padding will be added and when stop+padding is reached it checks the backend to see if the recording has stopped and if it isn't it tries again each minute. After that time when it finds the record stop, the timeline will stops growing. I haven's seen those huge book mark files (in sqlite) so I am hoping the main issue is solved. I still am considering what to do with short stops or stops with no padding.

I tried Matrix aplha3 on a spare Win 10 PC without using MySQL and initially got the same behavior. It did not mark the episode as watched. When I exited and restarted Kodi, it was then marked as watched. I did not try this on my Shield, so I don't know if it would behave the same if I exit and restart Kodi.

Your idea to let Kodi know when the recording has stopped to keep the timeline from growing sounds good to me. Thanks.

Does replacing the dll with the attached make any difference at the end of play with alpha three?

It fails to load the addon with this replacement dll (unknown error).  Log attached.

Probably missing the debug runtime, could you try this release build?

The timeline stopped growing correctly at 32 minutes but playback stopped on its own when it reached the original length of the recording when I started playback (~20 minutes).

That's what I was afraid of.  Could you see if this makes any difference.

Also for Matrix I am working on getting that tick mark to show for watched shows.  I have found that Kodi resets the last played position to zero when a file is marked watched and bumps the played count which NextPVR doesn't support.

This one works perfectly. I will have to try it with MySQL.

Great thanks for testing I will add it after sub merges a pending PR.

I've figured out how to get the tick marks to show so the recordings list will show unwatched, partially watched and fully watched indicators, I still need to figure out the best way to set this and deal with padding since I don't know from NextPVR if there is padding or not. In an extreme case for sports someone could set a hour of padding which may or may not be part of the total time.

I guess they changed how the watched indicators work in Matrix because this works fine in Leia?
