I’m having difficulty in configuring IPTV.  I have deleted my IPTV device and rescanned for a fresh one. Then attempt to “Import Using M3U”. My m3u url and xmltv url have both been refreshed.

The subsequent “Import” does not complete. The logs (attached) report “Failed to download channel list” for the m3u file yet I can download this file and play it OK using VLC.

This behaviour is new to the recent update.

Sincerely, Paul

It is failing on downloading not importing so confirm the url is entered correctly.

Thanks for your help (again). I can see from the logs that it is a download issue. I have used cut/paste of the url into NextPVR and see the failure. If I paste the same url into my browser it downloads an m3u file. I have been using m3u urls from my source for a long time and this issue has never happened.

Illogical I know. What I can see in the log file is

"Downloading m3u https://xxx.xxxx/.../xxxxx-xxxxxx.m3u?...."

But the actual url is "https://xxx.xxxx/xxxxx-xxxxxx.m3u". Is this a clue?

I don't think what you see in the log is a factor. Sub strips out the private part of URLs to help us support users.

Did you add any parameters with your paste? The ?... at the end could indicate a difference with the actual.

I know it looks like user error but I'm doing what I've always done. I add an xmltv url as well but that isn't the url that is failing.

I seem to be having the same problem. Just updated to latest version and that went fine. Refreshed iptv list and no go. deleted and now won't refresh. tried to create new and still no download. Import by XC works for my XC provider, but m3u does not from a different source. Version: 5.1.0.201214

i am having the same issue also (i am using new docker image from yesterday) i delete my device and re-set up every Friday and Tuesday, to re-sync with my m3u updated football channel names that have the fixture in chan name rather than epg, and to ensure the channel numbers don't change for channels with updated name, but I cant get it to complete. In the import window, nothing appears to happen. i don't see the msg downloading m3u or downloading xmltv, it just sits there as though i didn't hit the import button

my log suggests a web exception (attached)

Thanks!

You didn't include all your logs for today. That's an older zip.

Ugh...I think I've set a timeout too low. I'm going to need to do a new public release.
