I have a Hauppauge Quad TV PCIe tuner. Ihave no IPTV set up it is all ATSC.
I'll reboot the server and post a new log in a bit.
Also, a reboot always fixes the issue. After the reboot it may run fine for a day or two.

OK. I think that every new NextPVR setup includes an "IPTV" tuner by default. I'm not sure exactly why. I think that the "checking: IPTV (http://...)" log messages are a bug and it is using the tuner name from that first tuner rather than the tuner name for actual tuner it's trying at that point.

So it looks like the driver for your Hauppauge Quad TV tuner is dying for some reason. You could try checking the Windows event logs to see if they give any details on why it's dying. You might also check the Hauppauge website to see if you've got the latest drivers installed already.

One other thing you might want to do (this wouldn't affect your problem at all, but would help to reduce clutter in your logs and status screens) would be to disable the unused tuners (the IPTV one and the QAM versions of of the 4 Hauppauge devices) that way NPVR won't keep checking to see if they can be used. To do that go to the Settings | Devices web page. Then press the Ctrl key. That will cause the priority change arrows to get replaced with "Disable" and "Delete". Click the "Disable" for the tuners you aren't using.

I disabled the IPTV and QAM versions.
Hauppauge drivers are current.

The settings I can find related to pcie sleep or power management are set to Off or Disabled.

After the changes I've made today, I think it is time to wait and see if the issue happens again. If it does I'll check the Windows logs next. Thanks for all the help.

Unfortunately, in the last week the problem has occurred twice. I'll check power/sleep settings at the motherboard level next. Also, do you know the name of the windows logs I should check? Thanks

Type ... Event Viewer ... into the Windows search box beside the Start button

Thanks.
Since my last post I have picked through the motherboard settings and windows event viewer. Nothing jumps out at me as a problem.
I tried disabling all Eco friendly settings I could find on the motherboard and in windows.
Still having the same issue. Seems to happen every 36 to 48 hours.
Something interesting I ran in to.  The tuner card has 4 tuners. In Device Manager I see 2 drivers for this card and it seems like one driver for 2 tuners and another driver for the other 2.
I mention this because sometimes I get the error when I'm trying to record just 3 shows. 2 shows are recording fine but I cannot record more. After a reboot I can immediately record 3 or 4 shows. Is it possible that something is grabbing and not releasing one set of tuners?  I only have one client that we use daily. The other is on the backend pc but only gets used for troubleshooting. How can I check what is accessing the tuners? Shouldn't be anything other than NextPvr.
Any thoughts on what to check next?
Thanks
